WHY DO WE SING IN THE SPIRIT?
(This is your prayer language or tongues) For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prayers, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? WHY DO WE PROPHESY?
For you can all prophesy one by one that all may learn and that all may be encouraged? (I Cor.14:31)
WHY DO WE SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES AND INTERPRET?
(This is the gift of tongues) Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophecy, and do not forbid speaking with tongues (I Cor. 14:39). But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all…to other different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. (I Cor. 12:7, 10)
WHY DOES THE WHOLE CHURCH PRAY AT ONCE?
So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said; “Lord, you are God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them.” (Acts 4:2-4)
WHY DO WE ANOINT WITH OIL AND PRAY FOR THE SICK?
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15)
WHY DO WE LAY HANDS ON THE SICK?
And these sign shall follow them that believe: In My Name…they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. (Mark 16: 17-18)
